What is the machine made of?
Frame of solid sheet steel, cutting blades of spring steel, details in solid brass, base of oiled precious wood. The shaft runs in sealed ball bearings, and the rollers are synchronized by hardened gears.
How large and heavy is it?
W 16 × L 16 × H 18 cm, weight 1,800 g.
What's included?
FINECUT PRO, precious wood base, hand crank, cleaning brush, maintenance and care instructions, and the warranty certificate.
How quickly does it ship, and where to?
We guarantee shipping within 5 working days. We deliver to Germany (Hermes, €9.90), the EU (€39), the rest of Europe (€49.99) and worldwide (€79). More in the shipping information.
Is there a warranty?
Yes, a 1-year warranty on wear according to the enclosed warranty certificate. Your statutory warranty rights remain unaffected.
Can I pay in installments?
Yes, installment payment with Klarna is available. You'll see the terms at checkout before you complete your order.
Will the machine pay off for me?
That depends on your consumption and your prices. The cost calculator shows it using your own values.
How do I prepare the raw tobacco?
First cut the leaves into manageable strips: Virginia to approx. 60 mm, Burley to approx. 40 mm. You can combine different varieties directly by laying the leaves on top of one another; this way they blend evenly as they're cut.
How moist should the tobacco be?
Supple, but not sticky when pressed together. Tobacco that is too moist makes the blades stick and gums up the machine, while tobacco that is too dry crumbles to dust when cut.
How much can I cut at once?
Never feed more than 2 leaves through the machine at the same time. Too much resistance can permanently damage the cutting rollers or housing.
How do I care for the machine?
Lubricate only with Ballistol oil. The paper trick has proven its worth: lightly soak a piece of paper with Ballistol, wipe off excess oil with a paper towel (damp, not dripping) and crank the paper through the machine. The oil lightly lubricates the blades and loosens resin residue from the rollers. A well-oiled machine runs more smoothly and cuts better.
